What a transformation

The works at Union Road are drawing to a close. Having been uninhabited for almost two decades, the building no longer represented anything that could be described as a home. It was a dilapidated wreck of a shell that pushed the definition of ‘fixer-upper’ to the extreme. But over the past few months it has been painstakingly restored to its former glory. The townhouse has been renovated from the inside and out, with a Victorian-appropriate frontage, contemporary rear additions and modern interiors. The renovation has improved the property’s impact on the Conservation Area’s streetscape and, having been brought back to habitable use, offers a family-friendly living environment.
